From plastic to a durable steel construction

Plastic water purification installations were not fit for intensive use

When repairing ships, the waste water is often polluted with residues of oil,  paint and chemical rests.  At first EDR Antwerp shipyard purified the water using plastic installations, which were too fragile : very soon cracks, splits and damage appeared due to intensive use.

A sustainable tailor made steel construction as a solid solution

EDR turned on to ANG to brainstorm about a better solution. Together we developed a tailor made steel container, especially designed for their waste water purification.
This tailor made construction not only withstands the severe shipyard conditions but also connects perfectly to the existing infrastructure.

Developed with and for the client : a tailor made construction for water purification

We started by analyzing the needs of EDR.  We not only took into account the technical demands but also the proper shipyard challenges.

Our engineering department  came up with a solution that met all specifications and norms taking into account the sustainability, the safety and the ease-of-use.

A more efficient process and longer lifespan thanks to a tailor made container

Today EDR  uses a solid tailor made container for the purification of its waste water that

  • will last much longer than the previous plastic installations
  • withstands intensive use and rough weather conditions
  • fully integrates in their working environment
  • contributes to a more efficient purification process

The result is a trustful and sustainable solution that improves the functioning of EDR.
